Important Roads Information

Feb 20, 2024

The BRMCA board and a few other residents met with Prince William County representatives during the monthly BRMCA meeting on February 20th. County reps included Rebecca Bare, Chief of Staff to Supervisor Weir; Lucas “Luke” Highsman, Assistant Director of Public Works for Construction & Operations; and Benjamin Atson. The purpose of this meeting was to level-set how the board and the residents within our service district interact with the county for road maintenance and winter weather concerns.

The county would like to receive road maintenance and winter weather concerns directly from the Bull Run Mountain Estates residents. While Ben will eventually take over BRM engagement from Luke, please currently direct all road maintenance and winter weather concerns to Luke at LHisghman@pwcgov.org.

The county is rolling out a notification system for BRM residents. This notification system will send emails and/or SMS messages from the county to residents (who register) about upcoming and active snow removal / ice mitigation efforts, maintenance projects, and tar and chip projects. Instructions to register for notifications are below.

The county will hold a community meeting at the Evergreen Firehouse this fall, possibly next spring. Information about this meeting will be disseminated via the notification system.

The civic association will remain focused on the Firewise program and associated relationship with the Virginia Department of Forestry; the community clubhouse, grounds, and other BRMCA properties; and organization of community events.
