Neighbors, we successfully completed another round of brush chipping, funded by a Virginia Dept of Forestry Firewise grant. We have a resident who participated this year; is continuing to collect brush; and would like to hire our chipping contractor – Jackson Hollow Land Services – to chip additional brush. We are trying to reach at least five interested residents to make mobilization worthwhile for Jackson Hollow. Please let us know if you are interested in brush chipping this year. Cost will be $275 per house, payable directly to Jackson Hollow (the BRMCA can help coordinate). The BRMCA will apply for another Firewise grant next year. If awarded, we will perform brush chipping for another 20+ residences late summer / early fall 2022.
