BRMCA Halloween Event

All are welcome by the clubhouse lower lot field (intersection of Ridge & Mountain) on Halloween from 4:00pm until about 6:30pm (sunset is 6:08). We intend to have a fire pit in the middle of the field, hot apple cider available at no-cost, and (possibly) a food truck at the clubhouse lot.
We will use landscaping spray paint to mark up to 50 six foot by six foot squares around the perimeter of the lower lot field. Squares will increase in size if we have less than 50 volunteers. Volunteers can decorate their spot before the event and hand out candy during the event. At the last spot around the perimeter, each family can vote for the best decorated spot. The top two will win a gift card.
Volunteers and attendees – please park at the clubhouse and walk down to the lower lot field.
More details to follow. Please reach out to the board if you have any questions or would like to volunteer.

HALLOWEEN EVENT INFO!!!

BRMCA Halloween Event. Halloween is not going to be canceled on the mountain. Parents and their kids are welcome by the clubhouse lower lot field (intersection of Ridge & Mountain) on Halloween from 4:00pm until about 6:30pm (sunset is 6:08). Read on if you are interested in attending or volunteering.

We will mark up to 50 six foot by six foot squares around the perimeter of the lower lot field. Squares will increase in size if we have less than 50 volunteers. Volunteers can decorate their spot before the event and “hand out” candy during the event.

There will be a clubhouse rental on the 31st. The renter, a fellow resident, is very accommodating and in favor of our community Halloween event. We will put tape around the portion of the parking lot closest to the clubhouse for the renter and guests. The remainder of the lot will remain open for Halloween event attendees if space is not available in the lower lot.

We would like to avoid road parking and would like to keep families walking from the clubhouse lot off the road and away from traffic. As you can see in the map below, there is a path to the lower lot field from the clubhouse and a separate path back. Jackson Hollow Land Services will mow the field and clear the paths before the event. These paths are not steep, though we encourage those with strollers to park in the lower lot.

We would like this event to be as safe as possible. To this end, we will mark arrows on the grass to direct traffic one-way around the perimeter; will ask parents and kids not to move forward until the next spot is open; and we will ask volunteers, who can stay in their decorated spots, to place candy in bowls for kids to take from. The BRMCA will purchase extra candy in case volunteers run out. The lower lot and field are not well lit, so the event will end just after dusk. At the last spot around the perimeter, each family can vote for the best decorated spot, who will win a $50 Amazon gift card.

More details to follow. A signup sheet will be posted soon for spot signup and volunteers.
