2022 Chipping

**UPDATE: 2 OCT** Due to the weather forecast, the BRMCA and Jackson Hollow Land Services are moving the brush chipping event at the clubhouse lower lot from October 2nd to October 15th, from 8am to noon.

Hi neighbors. Similar to previous years, the BRMCA applied for and received a Firewise grant from the VA Department of Forestry. The VADF now has a three year grant cycle. Last year was considered Year 1, which entails a $5K grant. This is Year 2, which comes with a $2.5K grant. No grant funds are provided during Year 3, after which the cycle starts again.

Similar to previous years, we are going to use our Year 2 grant funds to chip brush. This will help reduce the combustible fuel that accumulates around our houses and sheds.

The funding amount will allow us to provide chipping services at roughly ten residences, along with a chipping event for those who can transport their brush to the lower lot at the intersection of Mountain and Ridge.

See attached flyer for information. Please reach out to board with any questions and, if you’re interested in chipping services this September, please register through our website at www.brmca.net/chipper-request/
