It is summer in Virginia, it must be road repair season. And it will be on Bull Run Mountain Roads. Beginning June 3, the Prince William County Public Works contractor who performs maintenance on BRMCA roads will be working on a number of projects to improve our mountain roads. The contractor will be working on rebuilding a number of ditches along the roads, cleaning or replacing a number of selected culverts, patching pot holes and doing other road maintenance work. Later this summer we will be chip-coating more of the mountain roads. The BRMCA Board of Directors and the Roads Committee is committed to getting all BRMCA roads resurfaced over the next two years. High use roads will be addressed first.
So as you drive mountain roads in the next couple of weeks, please be particularly attentive to where construction work is being performned, and as the signs say, “Give them a Brake”.
Have a great summer.
